The Learning Hub at USC Sippy Downs is an impressive building that incorporates extensive learning and research facilities with spacious open areas for relaxation. This state of the art facility is regarded widely as the most utilized building on campus by both students and staff. It offers students quiet study areas and group workshop rooms as well as advanced simulation and e-learning facilities. These provide comprehensive nursing wards for the growing number of nursing and midwifery students.
Multitech Solutions worked closely with the team at the University of the Sunshine Coast in the design process of many internal functions of this remarkable building. Our Mechanical engineers envisioned and implemented cost effective solutions to air conditioning, ventilation, security and communication systems throughout the Learning Hub. The electrical services, a necessity for a modern institution, were also designed by Multitech engineers who oversaw the planning and installation of all Building Management Systems as well as developing the lighting scheme in an aesthetically pleasing manner. By optimizing the electrical services to the Learning Hub, Multitech has decreased running costs by creating an environment that has a focus on energy conservation.
This is a significant project for Multitech Solutions as it helped establish the University of Sunshine Coast as one of the leading Australian tertiary education institutions in nursing studies.
