Redevelopment Stage 1, Gold Coast

Stage 1 of this exciting redevelopment includes a new 50-bed ward, three new operating theatres with provision for a fourth, refurbishment of the existing recovery area, substation, main switchboard, medical gases including medical air and suction plant, bottle and bulk gas stores and chillers. The project also includes a new five-storey building for medical consultants and a multi-level car park.

MultiTech Solutions provided design, documentation and contract administration of mechanical, electrical, fire and security services to the project.

Our extensive site investigations during the design phase and fast tracked documentation (including GMP) enabled us to contain construction costs and minimise program duration and associated disruption to hospital services.

To minimise capital cost, we designed services to suit applications which included extensive use of DX air conditioning and chilled water where possible.
