Queensland Emergency Operations Centre (QEOC), Brisbane A world-class communications centre, the Queensland Emergency Operations Centre which enables best practice strategic response and planning for daily emergencies and incidents and coordinated disaster management has been completed. It is the largest emergency operations centre in the southern hemisphere. MultiTech Solutions provided mechanical and sprinkler engineering and ESD for all services to the project which is aiming for 5-star Green Star accreditation. Our design uses displacement air conditioning delivered from below the floor to significantly reduce energy consumption. Further energy savings and comfort gains will accrue from the task conditioning system we’ve designed for building occupants. They will be able to individually adjust the direction and flow of air coming to their workstations and when they leave, the task conditioning to each workstation can turn off, saving more energy.
